Part 1 of the final and main event for the Fall WNH. The most spectacular lineup of wines I’ve ever seen, and an overall wonderful ending to an amazing trip with fantastic people.

En mag and insane. So ripe and rich...and definitely young! Wow. Baked blueberry pie, fresh squeezed blackberries, cassis, and dark cocoa on the nose. Massive on the palate with dark fruit, licorice, and dates. Only toward the end did I get an herbal spice on the finish. Probably the best CdP I’ve ever tasted. Killer,
@Mike R !

Incredible bottle of wine one. Parker rated 100 and I concur. I scored its 9.8 because it's still a baby. Decanted 4 hours prior to dinner. Paired with Foie Gras Torchon. Deep blackberry and black currant fruit was perfect match for Foie.
Amazing wine! Thank God I have 2 left!!

OMG! What a thoroughbred. The depth and intensity of the 2010 is breathtaking. Not sure you’ll find a better Ch N de P in this lifetime. Sublime. Dried blueberries, cassis, dark chocolate, leather, crushed wet stones. It goes on and on.

Deep, powerfull and full of energy. Classic nose of tangy red/dark fruits with a good ash like Smokey note. Punging palate with again the fresh but deep fruits combined with starting tertiary notes of saddle leather and garique. Impressive acidity but it can’t withstand the enormous amount of alcohol directed to your palate. It tickles and makes the wine too heavy and intens. Good to very good wine but to reach RPs 100 score it needs to get rid of 2% of its abv..

Brown reddish with fine sediment. Muted compact nose initially, evolving into forest floor, mushrooms, blood/iron and herbs. On the palate still a solid core of purple/blue fruit, cacao, tea leaves and drying tannins. Mouth coating, long finish. This can certainly age for many years to come. Beginning of drinking window. Next bottle in a couple of years.

Edit day two: the herbal components really shine now, combined with the softening of the tannins through aeration this magical balance comes into play. Understanding why this got 100RP. Hold for more greatness ☀️
