Deep ruby. Pungent, smoke-tinged aromas of blackcurrant, cherry compote, licorice and a sexy floral overtone. Expansive and sweet in the mouth, but with zesty acidity giving spine and lift. Long and smooth finish, with subtle tannins coming in late and melding with the wine's plush dark fruit. (JR)
