This bottle had been opened for 4 days and stored in the fridge. What a nose! There is chalk, there is limestone, elderflower, lemon, is this pineapple lurking in the back? The palate is well designed with a strong acid backbone, some width and a nice lemony touch all along with again that elderflower thing, a good grip and some matter, and a very long mineral and fruit thing that lasts for a while. Who needs Chablis?

Domaine des 4 saisons- Bourgogne Tonnerre - chardonnay 2018
A Chablis like nose with whestone, crushed oyster shell, chalk and lemon. This is very good. The palate is well balanced with a strong acid backbone, a very shy fruit all along and this mineral touch on the sides with that chalky mouthfeel before a very long salivating, fresh finish with lemon and chalk. I've had worse chablis premier cru!
