Domaine des Lambrays
Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru Pinot Noir
The 2013 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru, which former winemaker Thierry Brouin made, has a well-defined bouquet with dark berry fruit, brine, undergrowth and kelp aromas. The palate is rustic but engaging. Raspberry pastilles, orange rind and tertiary notes appear toward the slightly attenuated finish, not long, but you cannot deny that it is charming. I would drink this now and over the next decade. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2023)

Beautifully intense dark fruit. Lovely and supple. That pretty cherry plasticine thing and good structure. Lovely- still very young!

Sep 13th, 2019The 4th wine in the Morey Saint Denis/Chambolle Musigny Grand Cru bracket. Sweet yet stalky - stem influence. Again hard to judge with such a long life in front of it.

Jan 21st, 2017A truly extraordinary burg. A beautiful nose of cherry. A mouth coating taste with a sharp spicy opening with loads of pepper and flint box. A lot of black fruit and cherries!
