Dark, intense, roasted dense fruit. Lots of bloodiness, hints of tobacco, dried herbs. Intense and supple on the palate. Serious stuff.

Feb 2nd, 2020Some sooty tarry notes. Light to medium bodied - lighter than I expected. After some time in the decanter the wine filled out and put on palate weight giving earthy plummy minerality on the now medium weight palate. Aromas of undergrowth and garrigue. 85% Grenache 9% Syrah 4% Mourvèdre and 2% assorted other varieties. From a cellaring viewpoint rather short term for a big name Chateaneuf du Pape.
