Domaine Faillenc Sainte-Marie
Noé Languedoc Centenaire Roussillon Vin de France Carignan
Past vintages have been aight, but the 2014 is wild. Really good for the money. Camphor/eucalyptus sort of aromas made it fun to sniff. Lot of tannin here, but there's gobs of blueberry/cran raisin fruit. 100+ yr old vines.

A wild monster of animal, black pepper, dark red fruit and straight up meat. Definitely a bit of that Bret, animal stink, but so delicious in the end, and evocative of the region.

Feb 20th, 2016France just gets it. This is a no messin' around Carignan that's varietally true. Big aromas of plum, olives, and several dark fruits. Shrooms, dirty dirt, and just the right amount of brett. This is a funky wine with an old school rustic flavor profile. Earthy and meaty, this is not what you might call "fine wine." It's wild, uninhibited stuff.
