Gorgeous aromatics. Still extremely high tone, pure, and linear on palate. Not sure there is enough body, or concentration, to balance acidity over the long run. Fourrier has referred to 2008 as a vintage producing wines reminiscent of wines from the 1970's.

Quite stemmy, menthol, burdock root, iron, and earthy. I was expecting a bit more fruit but could be the vintage and whole cluster style.

These ‘08 Fourriers are good but not quite integrated yet, believe it or not. It was open and seductive, then closed and overpowered by CO2, then open again. A sense of oak, tart cherry, exceptional tannic structure.

Mar 5th, 2022This bottle was stunning. An absolute show-stopper. A seamless blend of citrus zest and big rocks or graphite, concentrated, perhaps shot, berries. This is in a very good place right now.
