Medium ruby , wide light garnet rim. Quite high toned red fruits on the nose , strawberry , raspberry touch of spice and rose . Quite intense and forceful on the palate , those ripe , wild strawberry, raspberry notes plus a bit of toasty oak on the medium length finish . Quite high acidity and slightly rustic tannins , balanced alcohol . This still comes across as a bit young , and though enjoyable just seems a little forced at first , missing a little subtlety, with time in the glass this does become more integrated , with some slightly darker fruits with some dark appearing . Maybe better integration will come with a bit more time in the cellar. So better in a couple of years and will last well a further 4 -7 .
