So crystalline clear next to DRC’s. And not to it’s benefit. Quite lean, spicy and red fruited, dusty and austere, perhaps one dimensional until I re-included the fine sediments which we had allowed to settle to the bottom of the bottle for a few days before opening. Then, it bloomed into a blue and red fruited Morey with class and density, dimension and width. I would choose the latter expression over the former any day.

This was just delicious... had the 2002 and 2001 last week as well. 01 was lush a day very accesible. While 2002 was a bit closed and more restrained. The 99 was just perfect. integrated fruit with hints of leather , red flowers and fruit.
