Jul 5th, 2016Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Bourgogne "Les Bons Batons" 2009. Plenty of life ahead. Much higher tone than most would expect from 2009. Clearly, the fruit was picked earlier to maintain freshness.

Feb 20th, 2016This overdelivers for its “Bourgogne” classification. At 10 years old, it’s certainly in its prime drinking window. Was a little tight upon opening, but an hour in the decanter did the trick. Cherries and damp earth with integrated tannins and good supporting acidity.

Jul 6th, 2019Light, bright ruby color. Fresh red berries, a hint of earth, and some VA evident on the nose. Light bodied with very tart red fruit on the palate. Acidity is overpowering with little weight or structure. I was disappointed in this bottle as had enjoyed the ‘08.
