This wine is actually a Loire Valley Red Blend. (90% Pinot Noir & 10% Gamay). Very rustic style that is loaded with organics. Notes of Raisins and Plums are in pretty good balance with all of the earthiness. This wine has an artisan quality to it. Mild tannins and light oak. A bit astringent, but fresh and lively. Quite good with Mushroom Soup.
