Domaine Guy Mousset
Côtes du Rhône Red Rhône Blend
Tried the ‘18 vintage. Rose better than prior vintages. Very light pink hue, with floral scents. On the palate tart fruit, strawberries and cherries. Made from Grenache and had more body than past vintages. The finish is still short ending with some fruit. Ok, but I Pass. Drink now!!

Jun 17th, 2019Always a good CdR. 80% grenache and 20% syrah. A crowd favorite and food friendly, we keep a couple bottles of this on hand at all times.

Mar 4th, 2021Deep purple, dark but not opaque. Moderate viscosity.
Not a very strong aroma, but digging in uncovers a lot. Maraschino cherry, chocolate, Hawaiian punch, red vines, blackberry, and cinnamon.
Almost no sweetness, moderate acidity with burst at the tip of the tongue, fairly strong tannins for this varietal. Finish was kind of weak, tannins stuck around but not much else.

Simple but well balanced. Notes of red cherry, red plum, pepper.
