Henri Boillot makes some spectacular Burgundy wines, both red and white; his Pommard 1er Cru and Montrachets are wonderful. This is his most basic red, the Borgogne Rouge yet it still impressed on me. Gorgeous flavour and a lot of tannin; if I'd had more than one glass I'd have wanted a bit of grub with it. Boillot's Borgogne Blanc is one of my favourite white wines.
