Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas of wet soil, mushroom and a bit of red fruit. The palate is more dark fruit (blackberry and black currant) focused with hints of black licorice and baking spices. Tannins and acidity are present but in good balance. Not really a “traditional style” Red Burgundy, but interesting and delicious nonetheless. Solid value increases my rating.
