Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Pinot Noir

So much to celebrate!

Fruit fading a bit but still a good amount of tannic structure. Slightly raisined fruit, cool, mineral finish.

Classic home run; nice cap to the evening.

🤑 @ £100 this reminds me why I stopped buying Burgundy as hard to find much decent now here without 💰💰💰but still a good wine just I could buy better elsewhere & Im a Burgundy PN fan believe me 😎

🍷 Garnet cherry w/ brick edge

👃 Smoke oozing through soggy soil covered with trampled cherry, herbs & an old leather horse saddle

👄 Med body of smooth slight zingy cherry w/ an earthy strawberry & raspberry backbone in med acidity

🎯 Short+ red berry/cherry dry puff

Needs time and air to give up its complex briar & sous bois bouquet. Lovely wine but prominent acidity makes this likely to put some off.
