Took an hour to stabilize but once it did it was all cylinders: earthy and pure with balanced power throughout. Perfect with a steak and Greek salad. — 5 years ago

The poor man’s GC - I am unabashedly proud to be a fan of their Charmes; it is solidly balanced in a traditional sort of way. It pairs so effortlessly with a variety of dishes, and was perfect on this warm summer eve. — 6 years ago

Another great find of 2020 - stumbled onto this in a lucky bag (福袋) - absolutely blew my expectations. Super balanced acidity with sharp precise flavors of lemon curd and vanilla cream. — 4 years ago

The two big surprises of 2019 for me have both been Bourgogne AOCs; the first being Bachelet’s Rouge ‘15 and now PYCM’s Blanc ‘17. It is a beautifully captured handful of pale and sparkling sunlight - with billowing wafts of lemon peel and white peach. Obv depth is lacking compared to his village or GC, but still holds up very well with some really refreshing acidity and purity. — 6 years ago

One of my faves of 2020 - gorgeous perfume of flowers and berries ; deep velvet color and grippy with tannins. — 4 years ago

Way too rigid at open; even after 2hrs open it was a struggle to really see its potential; although the nez teased so much great red berry and herbs. The second day it was really on - superb depth and balance. This can easily stay in the cellar a while longer. — 6 years ago
