Stern and imposing, but with lots of meat in the middle. Ample acidity that was a bit much for some, but not a problem for me.

Wow stunning. I only have one bottle so this will be a real treat. The first sip leaves a mouthful of cherries that just hangs on for the longest time.

2008 vintage. Medium ruby hue. Closed on the nose on opening. This bottle is in a dark period and isn't showing well. With some air, blackberry and blueberry notes, with hints of earth and a touch of smoke. The palate is a bit flat and austere for me if balanced. Medium plus acidity but with some burn at the back of the palate. Medium concentration. Medium plus tannins - crunchy and broody. Medium plus finish. Difficult to judge this wine as it's shut down. I will try again in a few years time. Score: N/A
