Farconnet Hermitage Syrah

One of the best wines of the year...still tight, but already showing beautifully...leather, game, and spice, with deep floral and stoney mineral notes

Outstanding Chave world. Farconnet is the right word. 2009

Probably drinking this far too early. Not the most subtle of wines but it does have a wonderfully long finish. Drunk with chicken, a surprisingly good pairing.

Excellent juice, really comes into its own alongside food (coq au bin in this case). Send slightly forward Niew, but shows an edgy side that bodes well for midterm evolution.

Come sail your ships around me and burn your bridges down.

Rhône tasting - Steve

Majestic and intense expression of Hermitage. Very peppery notes filled with blackberries, dried herbs and black olives. Dry with a medium acidity. Medium body with medium high tannins. Distinctive casks. Medium plus alcohol.
Intense full flavour. Dark fruits. Sweet herbs. Black and white pepper.
Hold.

Earthy goodness and black fruit.
