Mostly scarlet in color, translucent and regal. Deep nose. Notes of black cherry, blueberries, dried cranberries, some cool slate stone and some pepper. Rich and long in the mouth. Tannins fully resolved and integrated. Really nice for the vintage. In a great drinking window.

Reddish tawny and modestly translucent. Earthy herbal nose. Notes of cool slate stone, cranberries, black earth. Rich fruit. Silky and seductive. Coats the mouth with fruit and still present acidity/structure. Very good.

Rich, cream, game, violets. Softened tannins. Bacon fat on the finish. One hell of a wine.

Not nearly as good as the spectacular bottle from 3 months ago (and this came from the same OWC). Perhaps it didn’t get a needed decant? Just a bit one-dimensional vs non-blind expectations.

Case study in Brett sensitivity. Way too band-aid-y for me and about half the room, lovely aged Syrah for the other half. Wish I was in the other half. 🙁

Tawny reddish color. Translucent but nice weight. Bright nose with notes of cranberries, menthol, herbs and crushed granite Velvet glove in the mouth. Rounded finish. In a great window. Has some years in front of it but why wait.

Lovely,, rich earth tones but not yet complex. The spice is hanging just below the surface
