Domaine Leroy
Bourgogne Pinot Noir
So young, even for a regional. Her wines will all cellar for years.

Nov 28th, 2020Smoky, touch of cap smoke, lemon peel on grill, tangy lemon and tangerine pith, flint; dried lemongrass aromas and thyme. Smoked lime, grapefruit pith, turmeric, orange peel, lemon oil, bay, and white pepper, ginger, and dried orchid. Young and high-strung but full of oomph and endless potential.

Mar 20th, 2019If u read the book or know the history, then u know that our Leroy's 1999 Bourgogne brought the house down! 1999: as many said, a vintage known as 'a gift from the gods' & it shows. This 16yr old beauty showed notes of purely focused fruit. Dark cherry, licorice root, soft meat components, raspberry & layered herbal aromas. #certifiablydelish

Nov 13th, 2015From the Queen of Burgundy! She nurtures the Domaine LeRoy (and so much more) for seriously more $. This village level wine is dark sweet & sour cherries, underripe plum, dark wet earth, an array of spice and a long sweet balanced acidic finish with an elegance finish. If the 09 is $50 a bottle, imagine the $800-$1800 + Domaine LeRoy (if you buy it early/right) when it's aged to perfection. You only beg to have that experience unless you're part of the 1%er's! I'm guessing my rating bumps up another 1-3 points in another 5 years.

Aug 8th, 2015Best BG ever for me.
Color intact, medium ruby all the way.
Nose is classic Red Burgundy, but with a lift that reminds me of Vosne-Romanee, earth, berries, perfume like elegance and presistence.
The palate is sauve, with elegant, silky and refined red fruit, subtle spice and good length. Not a stunner but absolutely Burgundian. #leroy
