High quality Gigondas only entering its drinking window. Deep dark fruits, garrique & herbes and a firm tannine structure. nice.

Grenache-dominerad rhoneblanding från gamla stockar. Massa mörka och röda bär, lavender, anis, grön paprika och finmald peppar. Avslutet har hetta samt torra tanniner. Otroligt elegant trots sina avskräckande 14,5%.

Maybe I opened this to soon ..into an hour decant; just starting to step out of "the only thing I taste is high alcohol." Will update.....24 hrs later...full bodied..acidic ..violet..dried herbs...menthol...mineral...plum..balanced...intricate flavors that slowly evolve....growing on me a bit!

Brandied cherries, violets, garrigue, balsamic, slight game. Acid/minimal velvet tannin balance, full bodied, juicy texture, slightly herbal/floral/earthy finish. Needed some time to open up, I'd put this away for at least 5 years.

Garrigue, very sweet, overripe cherry. Menthol, clove and alcohol finish. Earthy and savory, with some dried herbs and big, Syrah-like body. Too fruity for a French Syrah, though, with overripe cherry balancing out the gaminess nicely.
