Deep, bright red in the glass. Bosomy fruity nose of maraschino strawberry and Juicy Fruit gum. Drier than the nose suggests, but with a full palate that echoes. Solid acidity. Was a but, dare I say it, austere upon opening. Much more approachable after a day. Tavel is the rosé that some folks age. Would be interested in tasting this in five years or so.
