Complex Pinot Noir, more tannic than most Burgundy, and more fruit-forward. Structured and great body, this wine is excellent.

07 volnay champans is not bringing it, too much barnyard attack, tart cherry, just a touch of a madeirized aroma on the slightly hot 13.5 finish. Volnay should be more elegant I think. Wagering this was slightly damaged? Still good but..prob not what it should've been
