Domaine Michel Gros
Les Chaliots Nuits Saint Georges Pinot Noir

Medium ruby color with pronounced aromas of cranberry, raspberry, black tea and forest floor. Similar flavors with a bit of dried orange peel added asking with some appealing mineralization. Great persistence and structure, ripe tannins. Tightly wound - great now but even better in a couple of years.

Painfully young... still beautiful but the oak is right out front.

Nice burgundy. More minerality and even a touch of medicinal quality compared to earth or tannins on the finish.

Drinking the '08 and it was a little wild on the open. Let rest for an hour and really mellowed out. Nice floral taste with a hint of earthiness.

Aug 5th, 2017A singular expression from a great producer. While I prefer his Vosne, this has minerality for days...
