Wow! Sancerre can do this? Impressive showing.

17.5. In a class by itself. This 2008 bottle is not fresh as you would expect from a Sancerre, but rich, complex and long.

17.5 so individual, Cotat. Nothing like these wines. A very rich sauvignon? Long.

17.5. Really exceptional Sancerre. None like it. But perhaps not to everyone’s taste. Nose grassy, but not at all sharp. Acidity there, but fruit so big that it’s tamed. Very long. 13.5%. 12 years old, will go on.

17.5. Raynolds says ‘rewards cellaring ‘. You bet! 12 years on, it’s fresh, still light yellow. Quite round and full for a Sancerre. Lots of fruit, good acidity. Wouldn’t want to guess how long it will hold, but probably long enough for me to get through the remaining 5 bottles. Perfect with salmon and chèvre.
