See note from 2015 - this had more pronounced citrus & white flowers on the nose, still oily & viscous, some herbal on palate, citrus pith, tropical fruit, vaguely Condrieu-esque, fascinating wine, lovely expression of Chenin. Has stuffing for another 5 yrs. Sec Tendre

I couldn't help myself! The chance to compare back to back Chenin Blanc from South Africa and France. Same vintage. Comparable color and body (this may be a shade lighter). Nose is equally fragrant but with pineapple, apricot, and more floral. A bit more sugar, to the point that I would say off-dry confirmed by only 12% ABV. More acidity than the prior wine. Mineral finish.
