Enjoyable but somewhat closed...hint of cherry and herb, but a bit hot. Not surprising that 15.5% noted on the bottle. Opened a little more after an hour or two.

Very good wine from Cairanne with ripe dark fruit and blackberry. Tannins are young but very drinkable. My only criticism is that at 15.5% ABV, the alcohol overwhelms the fruit. This is probably due to the vintage. 2015 vintage on Aug 17, 2018
