Disappointing. Clipped, muted and with little fruit. Tried over several days—a bit better after a day but then went downhill. Well below the standard of the previous two bottles.

Delicious. Leans into a darker fruit profile. Solid structure and good acidity.

Known best for his single vineyard aligotes, Pataille also makes some excellent reds from marsannay. They’re also excellent value. This one is terrific. Ripe red fruit, grip and good acidity.
