It was easier to evaluate this after having the 2009 as I tasted this first and then the 2009 and then back to the 2012 again. Dense and not budging much, this did have some lavender, black fruits and floral notes with a solid tannic backbone. Good now this will be great in 7-10.

Earthy, deep blend, medium-full body, dry cherry and oak notes. Needed 15min to breathe a bit, then quite smooth with fair tannins.
