#gevrey#gevreychambertin#pinotnoir#biologic#vinbiologique#primercru Medium ruby Pronounced primary aromas of red fruits (cranberries, red currants, red cherries and raspberries) and secondary aromas of oak (cedar, smoke and garrigue) there's also a sensation of roasted nuts. On the palate it's dry, with a tense medium+ acidity that gives it nerve and highlights the red fruits, it was a very cool and difficult vintage. The tannins are medium and smooth and the alcohol is warming, but maintains a medium+ level. It has a medium+ body and is a hearty example of the variety. There are medium+ intensity flavors of red fruits (red cherries, raspberries and red currants) and toasty smoky oak sensations like cedar and sweet pipe smoke and a savory quality. Overall it's very good, it could have been outstanding if it weren't for the unbalance of the acidity and the lack of complexity and length. The finish is like tart cherries and is slightly chewy and needs polish. This wine can definitely age and will most likely be in its prime between 2020-2030.
