Vintage 2023 | I almost never drink a glass of wine just by itself… but always at dinner. My wine friends critize me if I state: this is a dinnerwine to eat with. They say: wine must be good by itself, Peter. I advocate that wine tastes much better with food. This grüner veltliner is kind of middle of the road (at this moment) when you drink it by itself. We combined it with a baguette with goose rillettes. Like opening the himmel/heaven a bit. 😝

Feb 21st, 2025Vintage 2023 | Happy New Year! I thought ‘a stairs to heaven’ (Himmelstiege) to start with. Nice citrus smell that continues in the taste. Crispy wine from Austria. Paired with a 🦌 paté (good) and potted 🦐 (better). Juicy wine with character.
