Star bright golden yellow. Inviting nose of yellow apple and wet stone. Medium palate confirms the nose with bracing, classic Rheingau acidity and a slight presence of cement block. Spätlese from Rheingau tends to mean more flavor complexity than outright sweetness relative to their Mosel counterparts. No exception here, though a wee bit fatter than some others I've had. Great now with roast pork or cream sauces. Should reward after some time. Drink now through 2035.
