A bold, full bodied red blend. Surprisingly high in alcohol content compared to your typical red blends, but enjoyable and great for cooking into spaghetti sauce. ;-)

A bit of an astringent nose gives way to hearty aromas of earthy spice. The first taste reveals green notes and a pepperiness that masks subtle chocolate hints which fight to come through on the finish along with a cedar quality that lingers a good while. Pretty tannic and with a medium to heavy body, this wine craves a thick flavorful sauce with which to be paired. Not super, but not too bad for the low price. Can't say that I will seek it out again.
