It initially had a muted bouquet, but it blossomed with lovely red fruit. Started flat on the palate with whispers of something great to come. Nonetheless, elegant and refreshing from the start. After 10 minutes or so, it was bursting with blueberries, but they were gone as soon as they arrived. The wine quickly developed into a balanced delight with red fruit on the front end and a lengthy dark chocolate finish. Silky and surprisingly youthful for a 63-year-old time capsule.
