Dec 20th, 2014Nice little kabinett Riesling packing lots of citrus and yellow fruit tones. Peach and apricot dominate in the aftertaste, and the minerality balanced well with the off dry style of this kabinett. Held itself surprisingly well with foie gras on toast.

Pale gold in the glass, this wine smells of white flowers and ripe pears. In the mouth, beautiful pear and white floral flavors sit poised on the palate while mandarin acidity races electrically around the edges of the mouth, making the saliva glands go into overdrive across the long finish. Juicy, bright and delicious. Lightly sweet. 8.5% alcohol.

Have always been a fan of Dr. L Riesling. This is actually better than any of the others I have had. Crisp and easy to drink.

Semi sweet reisling. Apple and watermelon jolly rancher to it. Pretty good but lacks a little complexity. Probably would try again. $29 at Orion
