A pale straw in color that is much lighter then Bernkasteler. Immediately you notice the impact of the iron rich red slate soils of the vineyard. It is a bit more muscular, and the nose shows more red fruit. Red apple skin, yellow plum, and green tea are also present. Bigger, but still dances.
