Much better than the last bottle, settled in and composed, very new world. Is it Cabernet Franc? Barely if you guage it against the Loire. Too much oak diminishes the ability to do so.

A bit richer style than I usually go for but a solid effort.
Not 100% varietal as there is obviously some Merlot and perhaps Cabernet Sauvignon in the mix.

I wanted to like this more, but it is just not that interesting. Very good wine, but vegetal notes seem not integrated.

Sep 5th, 2016Was hoping for so much more. Not sure I would ever guess this is can franc. Tastes like a Rutherford merlot. Insanely smooth. I get no pepper. Very drinkable, just not the wine I was looking for.
