As expected, heavy sediment stuck to the bottle. Two hour decant ran through Venturi. Jet black in the glass, cinnamon, chalk and green veggies on the nose- no signs of age. Black currant, French roast and earth fills out the palette. Amazed that the tannins and acidity are in harmony. Distinct, lingering finish that goes on and never ends with smoke being the highlight.
