Dark purple with a soft cherry tint. Big, big fruit on the lively nose. Fresh strawberries, oak, toasted almonds, blueberries, and a hint of vanilla. This is an interesting wine I had never heard of but it is Last Bottle approved and now I see why. On day one, this was a solid, if completely typical, Napa blend. It woke up on day two and showed what it’s working with. The heat blew off and mouthfeel became more plush and smooth. Nice complexity on the palate with burnt tobacco, red and black fruits, pepper, licorice, decadent chocolate, and more oak. Pure Napa and pure fun.
