Vibrant and well structured, this house Riesling from Rheingau producer Eva Fricke is a complex, dry and impressive wine with searing acidity and satisfying length. It hits many of the varietal spots, including wet stone, crunchy apple, fresh lime and a hint of petrol, all cut alongside a very linear profile, and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel that has excellent harmony. For an entry-level wine, this is very good. I can’t wait to try her village and single-vineyard bottlings.
