Apr 10th, 2015If you don't understand tannin, you will after drinking this wine! Big, BIG mouth-drying tannins. The wine is inky red-purple with aromas of cedar and plum. It's a big flavor wine, but light bodied. An enigma. Flavors of plum, dark fruit jam, and a little pepper spice. I really need another bottle to make a definite opinion. I think this wine will age beautifully and would definitely benefit from aeration if drinking now. Really lovely with an Italian sausage, fennel, and kale pasta bake.
