Beautiful pinot. Defined red fruits, rhubarb, clay, and sweet wood. Balanced, delicate, and silky smooth. Paired w/duck, black lentils, coffee roasted carrots, parsnips, and oyster mushrooms.

A revelation. Not only the best Pinot noir I've had by several miles, but redefines what I even can conceptualize Pinor noir as being. It's concentrated, rich, opaque, intensely fruity, but still has that floral quality that makes Pinot what it is. Tastes like spicy grape purée with almost no hint of alcohol. A bit of characteristic Californian vanilla from the oak. Not a ton of terroir, which allows it to still feel light despite its intensity. Smooth and supple. Delicious. I'll need several more bottles of this.

2010- Immediately at opening it was tight and lean with sour cherry and chalk. After being open for 30 minutes it starting to sing. Wonderful juicy cherries. Lively and well integrated acidity. Can't wait for this wine to go into it's second phase of development. Can't wait to open it again in 5 and 10 years.

Gorgeous, silky fruit and great structure. Lots of complexity but so artfully made.
