I'm not much on Malbec but this was very easy to drink. No paint smell. Just blackberries, graphite, plum that washed down with smooth almost non existent tannins. Very flavorful and effortless Malbec for the 💰

1 person found it helpfulAug 24th, 20171st of 3 Mendoza Malbecs for NYT Wine School. Uco Valley, high altitudes, calcarean soil, fermented in concrete eggs. Medium/deep purple, blackberry and mint on the nose. Blackberry, plum, boysenberry, mint, pepper, and minerals on the palate. Needed a lot of time to open up. Some alcohol burn. It’s good and well made but doesn’t change my overall impression that Malbecs are kind of boring.

Sep 27th, 2019Oof. Too young. Blackberry, boysenberry on the nose--smells bigger than it is. Mouthfeel and finish leave quite a bit to be desired--chalky, mineral, dry.
