Famille Perrin
Réserve Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend
Melon, pear, chalky minerality, quince, citrus and floral notes. Low acid, a bit of heat, a little flabby. Wish the palate matched the nose. But, not bad for $13.

Dec 5th, 2020I was pleasantly surprised with this wine. I chilled the wine for 30, let breathe and paired a hearty ratatouille with feta, green olives, and almonds, alongside a couscous and watercress salad with a creamy herb dressing and a portion of fine grilled salmon. Or maybe it was the company we were with and the building excitement of the children returning back to school in a few weeks that made this wine so good.

Aug 26th, 2017Fruit-forward nose with cherry, blackberry, pepper - smells different than it tastes. Rustic, earthy, mineral flavor. Light to medium body. Taste improved when paired with rich sausage pasta (or pizza).
