Animal, leather, dried cherry, violets, sandalwood and black pepper. Very savory and rustic at first, with air it really transformed, showing the elegant and polished side this wine has. This had a richness to it that I found really appealing, a heftier expression of CC, vintage perhaps? Only regret was not enjoying this with a piece of lamb/beef 😭

Nov 25th, 2018May sound weird but definite play dough on the nose, sangiovese cherry comes through at first taste, then leads into a chalky mid palate that settles into firm tannins, a few years left on this one. Very enjoyable now can't wait to try in 5 years!🍷👍

The color has that light brown tinge in a deep purple base. The bouquet is smokey, mossy, and possesses aromas of fresh cut flowers. The initial palate is Black Currant (for real), blackberry, and oak. The finish is long with hints of oak, sour apple, Cigar, and leather. I highly recommend this one. Im not a fan of Chianti unless its a Reserva and this one I like!!
