With #CabernetDay fast approaching (travellingcorkscrew.com.au/blog/international-wine-days) I thought I had better get some practice in 😜 This 2015 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon is a new release from the team at Ferngrove in Frankland River (Great Southern region of WA). It retails at an affordable $20.

Brilliant garnet shade on the eye with notes of warm cacao beans, leather, licorice and a hint of vinyl on the nose. In the mouth I pick up flavours of cassis and black plums alongside a lick of Turkish delight and oak. A well balanced and extremely easy-drinking red which will go well with red meat dishes and anything done on the BBQ.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine
