Aged. Nice catchy label. French chateau vibes for the Spanish hacienda. Dark as night in the cup. Heady, funky nose. Has plenty of stewed fruits and a bit of wet loam. Just a hint of wet granite in the rain. Flavors are complex. Just a little raisin. But good raisins soaked in wine. Plenty of black currants. Maybe some black elderberries as well. This is still tannin heavy. Could age even more. This is a very nice Rioja Reserva. Would pair amazingly with membrillo, dry salty cheeses and a black pepper pork salami.

Don’t think Tempranillo is my favorite, prefer a bit more fruit (maybe that’s why they add Grenache to some Rioja wines?). This was tasty though especially after decanting for an hour. Both dries my mouth out and makes it water at same time.
