Dark ruby. Inviting nose of red fruit cobbler. Juicy (medium acidity) palate is medium-full bodied and yields red plum, blackberry, and just a hint of charred vanilla. Medium tannins: just enough to balance the fruit. Finish is fresh and lingering. Two months in used bourbon barrels is just long enough to give this fruit-forward Cabernet a bit of extra character. Structured for finer dining but still fruity (and priced well) enough for cookouts and casual fare. Solid! Drink now through 2022.
