Nothing special. Not offensive though. Tastes more like a good Valpolicella than a Ripasso. Lacks character and complexity.

A Veneto staple, I know this because my wife's family is from there..medium Cherry red color. .medium body, slight fruitiness and refreshing acidity &tannins. To know surprise pairs well with Cuisine of Northern Italy...we had it with Mushroom Risotto and a simple baked breaded chicken. Do not throw by the wayside...it's all in the pairing☺
