Vintage Port Blend

Fun bottle. PNP. Needs some time to add complexity. Certainly enjoyable but still somewhat young in the grand scheme.

1985 was 1 of the 36 declared vintages of the past 100 years by the Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto - one of the best actually which they describe as “exceptional quality...a classic vintage, harvested under perfect conditions”
Fonseca stepped to it delivering a wonderful that after 30+ years still is powerful yet has integrated any alcohol heat

1985 vintage. Soft and full. Drinking nicely

Has another 20 years ahead. Fragrant complex. Great length

Lovely chocolate overtones. A very pleasant drinking port. Round and full and rich.

Multi-layered wine starting with jam and spices, continuing with red fruits, some chocolate and tobacco.... what a treat.
